Rangimarie and Matua Waki, Whaea Hariri and
Matua Noel and, without a doubt, our mummy
Whaea Roa and Matua Tom; these people were,
and are, the backbone of our roopu. They drilled us
hard, right from basics, they have sacrificed their
own time to take us to the Nationals. They have
pulled out the best in every one of us in our roopu
and for that we thank them!
We will also never forget all the tamariki
that came along to every Wananga, sick or tired;
Stacey, Peata and Honey-Rahera (daughters of
Whaea Tiria and Matua Dan) and also our little
Poihakena (son of Whaea Hariru and Matua Noel).
A special mention must go to our past tutors;
Whaea Ngaria, Matua Tony and Whaea Maleina.
Also the extended support from the Walker
Whanau, the Clarke Whanau and the Whanau
from Te Pou o Mangatawhiti. Without you all we
would not have made it to the Nationals. You
support has been unconditional and endless and we
really, really appreciate it.
