team,” he says.
He says that making the change from
teaching to senior management has been a
big change.
“My first goal is to learn about how the
school runs from the inside out. My long
term goal is to become a principal.”
Mr Pita says the first term has involved
a lot of meeting people, learning about the
schools culture and getting to know the
Ngaruawahia area.
“I really like the culture of
Ngaruawahia in comparison to South
Auckland, the school is generally very open
to new ideas and I am enjoying learning
about the kids and their families and why
they are in Ngaruawahia,” he says.
