10th March, 1982 House Groups:
There were many high-lights this Stiff competition was experienced
year amongst which were the setting of between many of the House Groups. The
ten new records and the equalling of old rivalry between T4 and N4 sprang up
another. again with N2 and H1 joining in the race

Newcastle Two, anchored by Other Groups worthy of mention in
Maurice Kaio, took 3.0 seconds off the their efforts were Crawford’s Kids of T6
House Group relay record with (77), Seveltj’s Sinners of M5 with 70
Newcastle Four also swimming under points and Walsh’s Waterbabies of H6
the old time. with 68 points.
Craig Durham set two new marks House Competition:
in the Boys Open 1 Length Butterfly 1981 Champions Tainui took an
(22.2s) and in the Junior Boys Medley early slender lead of 11 points in the first
(87.6s) and also took out the Junior day of the Meet but the splashing start in
