Ngaruawahia High 21st Jubilee Reunion

                                                Programme



                  The Ngaruawahia High School Reunion kicks off with an
            informal wine and cheese evening on Friday.

                  The  school’s  original  dance  band  from  the  1960’s  will  be
            getting back together for the evening  -   Ngaruawahia’s Mr Peter

            Moanaroa  and  other  original  band  members  will  be  playing  the
            night’s music.

                  The  following  day  at  10am  the  official  welcome  takes  place

            inside  the  school  hall.  School  principal  Mr  Neville  Murphy  will
            speak, followed by president of the Ex-Student’s Association Mr
            Gayne  Jacobs.  The  main  guest  speaker  will  foundation  principal

            Edgar Allison.

                  Sir  Douglas  Carter,  a  former  High  Commissioner  for  New
            Zealand in London,  will unveil the honours boards. Sir Douglas

            has had a long-time interest in the school.

                  After  the  welcoming  ceremony,  class  photographs  will  be
            taken.

                  A  lunch  will  follow,  and  informal  sports  are  planned  for  the

            afternoon.

                  The  school  will  be  open  all  day,  with  photo  displays  of  past
            schooldays, and a souvenir stall. There will be plenty of time for

            chat and reminiscing.

                  At 6pm it will be time for reunion members to enjoy cocktails,
            dinner and dance with Hamilton’s John Corban’s Band at the Te

            Rapa Racecourse.

                  For those who still have energy the next day, a church service
            takes place in the school hall at 11am officiated by former Mayor
            of Ngaruawahia Mr Bert Latta.


                  And afterwards there will no doubt be plenty of fond farewells.
