The    Officers    of    the    Club    for    the    1970    was given the name of the Robin Bell Memorial Trophy

           The Club played through the 1969 season with a
    small number of members and players, which grew over
    the  1970  season. Club  fees  remained  at $2.00.
           ln  two  post-season  matches  against  Huntly  (in
    which Steve Baranyai donated a cup), Ngaruawahia won
    6-2 and lost 3-4 but won the cup with a 9-6 aggregate.
           Four  trophies  were  purchased    for  annual
    presentations to its players. The most prestigious trophy
