               Congratulations  to  our  amazing  waka  ama    allowing  the  trip  to  go  ahead  and  supporting  the
         crew  (J-19s)  who  represented  us  at  the  Gubbi   students;  Whaea  Robyn  Roa  for  backing  us  up;
         Gubbi Trans-Tasman Outrigger Championships on         Sonia  Harper,  Judy  Taylor  and  the  Ngaruawahia
         the Sunshine Coast.                                   Community Markets; New Zealand Rugby League,
               They departed on Friday 23rd September and      Paddle-athon  sponsors,  Uncle  Chaz  Paki,  the
         returned  on  Wednesday  28th  September  with  a     parents  and  whanau  who  have  supported  their
         massive  9-medal  haul  and  three  out  of  five  age-  children  along  with  the  school  staff  and  students
         division trophies.                                    for their continual support.

           U19s Girls Secondary School Champions              the hard work done providing transport, paddling
           U19s Boys Secondary Schools Champions              advice,  awhi  ana  aroha.  Thanks  to  Barney
         Medal tally: 3 goad, 3 silver & 3 bronze medals       Wharakura  for  the  mental  preparation  and
               Whaea Rangimarie Morgan and Matua Waki          inspiration and Marrin Haggie for the advice and
         Simon wanted to thank the Board of Trustees for       the heat-training opportunity.
